Two lenses on every tour: users and attempts.
Per-tour funnel, completion rate, dismissal rate, drop-off detection. Read replays separately from unique users so a single buggy auto-firing tour can’t pollute your conversion numbers.
- Step 1100%
- Step 278%
- Step 364%
- Step 441%
- Per-step reach (unique end-users + raw attempts)
- Drop-off detection between steps - find where users bail
- User-level rates (did this person ever finish?) and attempt-level rates (per run)
- Retention: 90 days on Starter, up to 730 days on Scale
- Last-event timestamp so you know if data is stale
Analytics, in detail.
The funnel is the product.
Every tour gets a per-step funnel: how many reached each step, how many dismissed there, how many completed. The biggest gap between two steps is where your copy, your anchor or your product is losing people. Filter by 7, 30 or 90 days or a custom window.
Users and attempts are different questions.
The user lens asks "did this person ever finish?". The attempt lens asks "what fraction of runs finished?". A tour that auto-fires on every page load can rack up hundreds of abandoned attempts from one curious user; the user lens keeps your activation number honest while the attempt lens tells you the tour is firing too often.
Checklists and announcements get their own rollups.
Checklists report item-level completion rates. Announcements report views, dismissals and CTA clicks. All events can also be forwarded out through webhooks, Slack or Segment if you want them next to your product analytics.
Plans. Event retention is 90 days on Starter and rises by plan, up to 730 days on Scale. See pricing
Analytics FAQ.
Straight answers. If yours isn't here, email hello@steppr.io and a founder replies.
One is per unique user, one is per attempt. They diverge when a tour runs more than once for the same person. Both are shown so you can tell "people finish it" apart from "it fires too often".
Ninety days on Starter, longer on higher tiers, up to 730 days on Scale.
Forward them via generic webhooks or the Segment destination. Every tour, checklist and announcement event is available as a signed JSON payload.
